I realize that I never posted any photos from California, but suffice to say, I have really been missing it lately!

This is one of my favorite snapshots from the J. Paul Getty Museum (The Getty Center), which has certainly been one of my favorite museums. The statues in this particular room are mostly of the Roman gods. The marble statues in the background are Apollo Crowning Himself by Antonio Canova & Juno by Joseph Nollekens. I’m not sure about the two in the foreground. I’m a museum dork so the next trip to SoCal I really want to make it to The Getty Villa because that’s where they house most of the Greco-Roman collection.

Any favorite museums? Artists? Works?

This has been added to my wishlist of things to buy once I have a job. It’s such a great reminder to have and see everyday.

In The Library - Tatsuro Kiuchi

I was able to snag an 11x14 of this limited run print from Tokyo artist, Tatsuro Kiuchi, on 20x200.com a week or so ago. I admired it on pinterest for a few months and finally decided I needed it on my wall. It still needs to be framed and hung, but I do love to look at it!
